Bai Tu Long Bay is a sea bay of Quang Ninh – Vietnam, consisting of hundreds of large and small islands, located in the Gulf of Tonkin, in the Northeast region of Vietnam. Bai Tu Long Bay includes a sea area of Ha Long City, Cam Pha city, and Van Don island district. The Southwest borders Ha Long Bay, the West borders the mainland of Cam Pha city, the East borders the sea, and the Northeast borders Co To island district.
Bai Tu Long Bay is an important historical and cultural relic, located in the center of Ha Long City, along the coast of Ha Long Bay. Nearly 900 years ago, this was a bustling place for merchants from Siam, China, Japan, India,… to exchange goods. Bai Tu Long Bay is also a place to commemorate the heroic victories of General Tran Khanh Du and 3 brothers named Pham who defeated the grain ship of the enemy general Nguyen Mong – Truong Van Ho (in 1288).
