The Rose Valley is a complex of flower gardens and landscapes spanning 22 hectares. It is located in the heart of the famous Muong Hoa Valley, between the Fansipan range and the Ham Rong range. The Rose Valley is quite close to the town center, right at the intersection of Cau May – Muong Hoa. You will admire the most beautiful roses in the world, interspersed with rare and precious flowers of Vietnam.
To get to the Rose Valley, you can choose one of two ways: walk or ride a motorbike. If you choose to walk, it will take you about 15 minutes to go from the center of Sapa town to the valley, following the direction of Muong Hoa Street. On the way, you will admire the majestic and fresh scenery of the Northwest mountains. You will also pass through Cau May Street, one of the oldest culinary streets in Sapa. If you choose to ride a motorbike, it will only take you about 5 minutes to get to the valley, with a cost of about 100,000 VND for motorbike rental.
When you arrive at the Rose Valley, you will have to buy an entrance ticket with a price of 70,000 VND for adults and 50,000 VND for children. One of the most attractive tourist spots in the valley is the largest rose kingdom in Vietnam, with over 300,000 rose bushes being cultivated. With over 150 famous rose species in the world, this is the hottest “virtual living” spot in Sapa.
When you come to this beautiful valley, you can admire the vibrant red rose carpets, the ancient rose bushes of Sa Pa, Hue, Hai Phong, Van Khoi, Son La, and other flowers such as white roses, tố nữ, rhododendrons, wolf’s mouth flowers, orchids. You can also take souvenir photos with romantic “virtual living” corners, such as glass bridges, suspension bridges, Pơmu wooden stilt houses, or unique landscapes.
When you come to the valley, you should not miss the opportunity to learn about the culture and life of the ethnic minorities here. In the Rose Valley, you will meet and interact with the ethnic minorities such as H’Mong, Dao, Tay, Giay, and participate in their traditional festivals, such as Gau Tao festival, Sinh Ton festival, wedding, age celebration. You can also buy handicrafts, such as ao dai, scarves, handbags, batik fabrics, made by hand by the local ethnic people.
