Did you know that in Ha Giang, there is one of the “four great peaks” of the northern mountainous region? That is Chiêu Lầu Thi Peak, located in Ho Thau commune, Hoang Su Phi district, about 130 km from Ha Giang city. This is a challenging and majestic mountain pass, where you can admire the unique geological landscapes, explore historical relics, and interact with the ethnic minorities living on the plateau.
Chieu Lau Thi Peak has an altitude of 2,402 m above sea level, belongs to the Tay Con Linh range, and is the second highest mountain in Ha Giang, only slightly lower than Tay Con Linh Peak. This mountain peak is formed from large rocks, shaped like a conical hat, covered by white clouds. The mountain peak is also associated with legends passed down from generation to generation, among which is a very touching story about the love between a Hmong boy and a fairy, who turned into two mountains to forever remember each other.
When visiting Chieu Lau Thi Peak, you cannot miss famous landmarks such as: Quang Ba Heaven Gate – a place with majestic and poetic landscapes; Ban Phung terraced fields – where the most beautiful terraced fields in Ha Giang are located; Buckwheat flowers – where the characteristic flower of the highlands is located; Tay Con Linh – where the highest mountain peak in Ha Giang is located; Ho Thau – where there is clear and cool water; and many other places.
Chieu Lau Thi Peak is an attractive destination for adventure-loving tourists. This place not only brings you interesting experiences about nature, culture, but also helps you learn more about the history, geology, and biology of this land.
